Jack Prest is a Sydney-based sound engineer, composer, and artist working across contemporary electronic, jazz, and experimental music.

Known for a highly detailed and emotionally driven approach to sound, his work moves between left-field electronic music, improvisation, club production, ambient composition, and large-scale interdisciplinary projects. Drawing from both conceptual art and advanced studio practice, he approaches production and mixing as deeply creative acts — shaping records with atmosphere, depth, and emotional precision.

Over the past decade he has become a sought-after collaborator within Australia’s independent and alternative music communities, particularly across experimental electronic and jazz scenes. His work spans records, performances, sound installations and dance works, presented internationally at venues and festivals including Sydney Opera House, Sadler’s Wells, and Sziget Festival.

Alongside his production and engineering work, Jack maintains an active artistic practice exploring experimental electronic composition, interdisciplinary performance, and sound as a physical and perceptual medium.
