With a background as a conceptual artist, DJ and performer Jack Prest has risen to be a senior engineer at Studios 301, Australia's largest recording facility, and a successful freelance music producer/sound designer/composer in his own right. Through his work at Studios 301 Jack has recorded, mixed and produced across all styles from Orchestral to Jazz to Rock to Electronic Music, working with artists including Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Will.I.Am, Action Bronson, B.O.B, Skrillex, Flume, The Preatures and KRS-One.

Recently Jack has turned his focus towards artist development and production carving out a niche in the realms of progressive, forward thinking and experimental electronic music. His recent production and mix work reads as a list of whats hot in the alternative electronic music in Australia, including Jonti, Sampa The Great, Bus Vipers, Golden Vessel, Godriguez, Crooked Letter, Leftenent, Daily Holla, Azura, Future Love Hangover among others.

In addition to his work within the music industry Jack also works as a composer and sound designer, specifically for dance, theatre and experimental arts. His work has been featured in performances in festivals worldwide including Sydney Festival, Tanz Im Berlin, Freespace Festival (Hong Kong), Dance Massive (Melbourne) and venues such as the Sydney Opera House and Arts House Melbourne. In 2014 he won a Helpmann Award for his work on the production Whelping Box. His original compositions have also featured on network and cable television in Australia.
